So after tomorrow...I will be halfway to the end of my pharmacy rotations...and five rotations away from graduation!! I am so excited. So yes..I am a little excited. Heather, from Appalacian COP, was sick last week and ended up testing positive for influenza A last week...and then both Mary Anne and Linda were both out this week for the flu. So I'm hoping that I did not have a mild case of the flu last week and spread it to everyone. I think I just had a cold:) Anyway, I hope that tomorrow is a short day...b/c I am so ready to be off for a month.
Thursday, Adam and I are going to Bowling Green so Dad can put a starter on Adam's car since he'll be needing it soon. Adam finally has a job...we are pretty certain:) She called today to meet with him tomorrow because everything has gone through and he will just have to do the drug test. She is going to discuss the start date with him tomorrow..so yay. I am so excited. And I know we are both relieved.
Saturday I am leaving for Florida. I have never been so appreciative of a vacation. I never really thought that much about vacation until I worked every day...for free...so totally pumped!

O-H...I-O!?!

Last weekend I went to Columbus with Adam to visit his brother and cousins, and we took Doug along for a fun weekend. We left Friday after Doug and I got off work and got to Columbus around 9 PM. Jeff and Mary were at the house with Luke so we all went out to a little bar, restaurant thing and just hung out. I miss those guys and wish they were back in Lexington. The next morning we got up to go to GameDay and this whole Kegs and Eggs thing that one of the guys had supplied a keg for. Adam and Jeff just stayed over there for a little bit to watch some football games on TV...and who could blame them b/c there weren't too many people at the party. We made it to game day which was interesting...but it wasn't as great as the time it was at UK. I guess because everyone at Ohio State expects it to be there noone is really all that interested and HAS to go. When it was at UK everyone was there shoving for spots b/c we all knew that it is very unlikely for GameDay to be at UK in another million years. I was a little sad that stupid Santonio Holmes was there b/c the Steelers had just beaten the Titans...so Doug and I booed him...very quietly:) It was a fun weekend. A lot of people were upset when Ohio State lost, but since Doug and I had just gone for the social aspect we just kind of shrugged it off.
This week I have been at Rood and Riddle again. I like the work of compounding stuff for the animals...but the pharmacist that is supposedly over me is so freaking lazy. She has to get her Virginia law license since they ship a lot of products out to those horse farms, but she has already failed it three times. So she says that she is "studying" for hours on end while she is supposed to be working. But I don't really think she's doing much except watching Mary Anne, Heather, and I work while she rambles on about stuff. She is nice enough, but I get highly irritated that Heather and I are working for free and pretty much being slaves and she is getting paid to annoy us. But I am almost through rotation #5!!! And then I will be halfway through. It is going to be a major relief when I walk out that door on the 30th. Not only will I be halfway done, but it will also be my month off. I can't wait to sit around for a month doing nothing...and I get to go to Florida the first week in October. I have my midpoint portfolio review tomorrow with Anne Amerson so I am a little nervous. Adam says I have nothing to be worried about, but I always expect perfection of myself...but that's just me.
Anyway, uploaded a couple of pictures from the Ohio State tailgate to prove that I actually cheered for Ohio State once in my lifetime:)

Cleveland Rocks!! Cleveland Rocks!!
Ok...so not that I really think that...but it's the Drew Carey song. Anyway, I went to the suburbs of Cleveland this weekend for Adam's mom's family's annual family picnic (that's a lot of apostrophes!). I was glad that I was invited because most of the family that I see are the other side of Adam's family...except for Aunt Joanne and Melanie from Michaline's side. But anyway, I got to get to know a lot of them this weekend. And we're heading to Columbus on Halloween for one of the cousin's weddings so I'll get to see them again. But we left at 5:30 AM on Saturday so we could get to Cleveland in time to find the B-Dubs and watch UK play football. It only took us 5 hours to get there so we got there in plenty of time. We watched UK play...and it was during the Ohio State game. But it was so weird because everyone there with Ohio State hats and t-shirts didn't even cheer...and here we were doing the C-A-T-S cheer every time that UK scored a touchdown. We also had WKU on a TV...but it was kind of sad to watch:( Saturday we had the family picnic at this really nice park. We did a balloon toss with the rest of the family. Needless to say, Adam and I did not win. Apparently I do not have the correct catching technique...who knew?? We also did marshmallow golf...very interesting. But it was a fun weekend. After work on Friday, Adam, Doug, and I are heading to Columbus to go tailgate for the Ohio State game and to go to game day. Adam's uncle owns Dick's Den there right next to the Horseshoe so we're going to hole up in there for a little bit too. I'm pretty excited. I love being right at home with his family. Since we were outside of Cleveland the whole time in the suburbs, Adam's mom and dad drove me downtown before the picnic on Saturday. So I got to see the Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers playing venues. I also saw some of the old places where Adam's mom worked in high school. It's a neat little town even though a lot of it has since been torn down. And I got to see the outside of the Rock N' Roll hall of fame. I also went to Catholic mass. I have to say it's not so bad. It actually goes by faster than a Baptist service b/c the priest's homily is only like 10 minutes compared to a baptist preacher's sermon that is sometimes 30 minutes long. I just don't like all the standing up and sitting down. But I'm feeling more comfortable each time since I've been to a wedding mass and then this mass. Plus Adam's sister is explaining it to me the whole time.
Anyway, I am dreading working the next 4 days. It's not that I don't like this rotation, but I really really need a break. This is my 5th month straight, and I am just tired of working for free. I am so looking forward to having October off. Hopefully Adam's cousin Sara can make it down on her long weekend so she can go to Keeneland with us. This week is already booked for me. Going to Louisville to play cornhole tomorrow with Justin. And then Thursday I am going to eat dinner with Whitney at Pazzo's before I head home to watch Titans opening game. Super pumped about Titans playing again!

All moved in
Okay..so I've been quiet on here a while because I've been moving like crazy. But I absolutely love my new place. We got the keys on Thursday, and I looked like an absolute idiot trying to get in the front door. They are those electronic keys that you stick in the door and the lock just reads this plastic looking thing and then you turn the key to the left to open. Well I was trying to turn the key to the right the whole time...looking stupid. But I finally got it. Thank goodness I won't have to be using that often since we'll be coming through the garage door. That's right...we have a 2 car garage. The downstairs is very spacious...much more than I thought it would be. We have a half bath downstairs and a washer/dryer room. The kitchen and island are super cute and I absolutely love them. My room is the master and I have my own bathroom and walk-in closet. I really like having everything together. Leigh's room is cute and adult and I really, really like it. And I'm loving having a garage for the first time in my life. It's pretty wonderful. Moving out was a disaster just because we had so much stuff to move. Adam and Doug moved all of my furniture on Friday. Mom and Dad came up Saturday and helped me with the little stuff and the cleaning aspect of everything. We finally turned the keys in from our old apartment today..so we're officially moved out. The only problem with the new one is that my DVR is malfunctioning and we know that I can't have that. So the cable guy is supposed to come sometime tomorrow to fix that. Adam is going to be "on-call" for the cable guy tomorrow since he doesn't have to work. Isn't he sweet?:)
Tomorrow is my first day at Rood and Riddle..and my first day on my 5th rotation. After this one I will be halfway through. Glory, hallelujah! Cannot wait!
