Happy 2 Years!
So today Adam and I celebrated 2 years from our first date. It doesn't seem like it has been 2 years, but it seems like I've known him forever. He was off of work today, so we went out for a movie and dinner. We went to see Law-Abiding Citizen, and it was so good. It had some people in it that I recognized-Jamie Foxx I believe and Leslie Bibb. It was kind of scary but Adam and I both enjoyed it. Then we went to eat at Mellow Mushroom because I freaking love that place. I feel so blessed to have had Adam in my life for 2 years. It's nice to know that after a hard, long day I can vent to someone that knows exactly what I'm going through. But anyway, Im excited. Happy 2 year!!

Television
So I've finally been catching up on my DVR and have discovered some shows that I really love. So I absolutely love "The Forgotten". It is a show that is a group of non-police officer volunteers that help find the identities of Jane and John Does and then discover who murdered them. I watched like five episodes today...and cried after like four of them. So it's definitely one of my new shows. I also love "The Good Wife"...Cougar Town, Modern Family, Accidentally on Purpose...man..I have an addiction.
Adam had to close tonight at the Shelbyville Walgreens. It was his first day as a pharmacist on his own shift. I am so, so proud of him. He's so confident. If it were me, I would be freaking out right about now. But not him. He is off tomorrow and then working at the New Circle Road Walgreens Friday, Sunday, and Monday. And now I'm freaking out about graduating as well because I have so much to do to get my portfolio done and then file for graduation and licensure with the Board of Pharmacy....ack!

Randomness
So I wish all of these people would quit complaining via their statuses about the Facebook changes. Who cares unless you spend hours upon hours every day on Facebook...and then maybe you should get another hobby. Also...these people that are sick or their husbands are sick and update their status every ten minutes are getting on my nerves. For example: i don't feel good going to the doctor; i'm at the doctor waiting to go in; i just took a flu test and waiting on the results; flu test is negative. Okay..so I'm sorry you don't feel good...but can't you just say I'm sick and feel like crap and let it be. I don't need a play by play unless I'm one of your close friends and then you can call me on the telephone:) Okay..so I'm a little complain-y today...I know that's not a word, but whatever. I blame it on the weather.
So I'm going to be a pinata for Halloween. I stole the idea from Doug who was a pinata last year because we all make fun of him for looking like a Mexican..even though he is not one. So Adam's cousin is getting married on Halloween and the reception is dress-up, and I spent a total of $7.50 on my costume (excluding the candy I will give people when they "hit" me).
So I'm hoping that my future is falling into place. We had interview day yesterday to talk to future employers. Hopefully, I have a job in Louisville, but I'm not going to get excited until I actually get an offer letter and sign. Adam is enjoying his working and has finished his second complete week of work. Today is his last day of training and then he's going to be on his own. I'm so proud of him. Tomorrow he gets his first paycheck. And Thursday marks two years we've been together. Everything is happening so fast, and I wouldn't change any of it for the world:)

Jackpot!
So yesterday we went to Keeneland again. I LOVE Keeneland. It is so neat to see all these beautiful horses, and I love cheering a horse to win. So in the fifth race I bet on Robby Albarado's horse...b/c I love Robby. So I did a two dollar bet across the board and it went off 5 to 1. I also did a $2 exacta box on 4 and 10. Most I've ever won on an exacta is like 20. So I was so excited when they came around the last turn and my horses were in good position. So I'm jumping up and down screaming, "Come on 10-4, come on 10-4!!" And my horses actually came in first and second. I was screaming and holding on to Adam. He said it would probably pay over $100. And when the total came up I almost passed out. My exacta payed out $296.80. I also won my WPS bet and ended up with $318.00. It was the most exciting thing that has happened to me in awhile. I have no idea what I m going to do with my money...but I'm so pumped. The younger guy that cashed me out looked surprised when my pay out total popped up. That's right...do not doubt me!!
So today we have interview days at school. I have a mandatory meeting at 2 for graduation information. Who would have ever thought that this day would come so soon. I am so excited. And I'm excited about seeing some of my friends that I haven't seen since school got out. It's hard to say how close you are to some people that you sit in a classroom with everyday for 3 years.

Keeneland and Eric Church!!
Yesterday was a fantastic day. Sarah and I went to Keeneland and then to Louisville for the Eric Church concert. I got 3 winners across the board at Keeneland and one show horse..so I ended up winning $14. So pretty pumped. I got my admission and my ice cream paid for plus some extra. It was just a good day at the races yesterday:)
Right after Keeneland, we left to go to Louisville for the Eric Church concert at Coyotes/Spin or something or other kind of named club. We got there and had to wait in line but it wasn't very crowded toward the stage so we were like 10th or 11th row standing. We listened to some guy named Christian Kale (I think?) for about 45 minutes. Then about 20 people left that were there to see him, so we ended up getting to about 6th row standing for Eric Church. We had to wait for about an hour before he came on but it was well worth it. Poor guy came out with a broken foot. So he's on crutches and has a chair and a microphone just singing away with his band. But he keeps jumping up and down on his unbroken foot. You can tell that he wants to get up so bad. But the concert was amazing. He is a true country artist, and I hope for him that he becomes a huge country star. He is awesome and there are a ton of his fans. It was ABSOLUTELY amazing. So pumped.
Tonight I apparently get to go to the stockyards with Adam. For some reason he wants me to go b/c him and his Dad are going to buy a calf and cow pair. So I guess I'll suck it up and get prepared to smell cow poop. Well I guess I put up with horse poop yesterday so I might as well get used to it. But I just want to spend time with him since I'll be in Bowling Green for the majority of November and December. I will miss him. But at least we'll be together next week to mark on 2 years together!

Weeks off
This week off so far has been fantastic. Sunday, Sarah, Whitney, Adam, and I went to Keeneland. It was fantastic and the weather turned out to be beautiful after the sun shone. I won a few races so I won some money...except that I spent some of my winnings on nachos with chili. Oh well.
I got a lot accomplished yesterday by cleaning my room and bathroom. I was sticking around the house b/c the guy to fix the heater was here. He couldn't figure out the problem yesterday and came back today. Seems that the heater was wired wrong so that the fan never would go off...which in turn would make our energy bill out the roof. So that was finally fixed today after the repairman thought that it was three other faulty parts. At least he has some spare parts lying around now:)
Sarah and I have a great night planned. Once she gets out of her meeting, we are going to head to Keeneland for a few races. Then we are going to head to Louisville for dinner and then go see the Eric Church concert at Coyotes. We both love Eric Church. He had a great CD several years ago that I loved..and now he has made a comeback with his new CD and singles. Absolutely love him.
I am contemplating going home this Sunday. I really want to go to Jackson's Orchard again on a weekend before Halloween...and I need Mom to help me sew my Halloween costume since I don't have a sewing machine in Lexington...oh well...we'll see how I feel after tailgating on Saturday:)

Last Couple of Weeks
So the last couple of weeks have been non-stop. Mom, Dad, and I went to Panama City Beach for a week. It was fantastic and the weather ended up being fantastic compared to the 40-50% chance of rain it was supposed to be every day. The Saturday we got there we ended up being able to sit on the beach for a couple of hours. And the rest of the week ended up beautiful. The temperature was 90 degrees the whole time and then we come back to Kentucky where the weather is in the 50s...but I've already adjusted. I needed that vacation after my last rotation which was truly horrific. I tried to make it out to not be so bad, but my preceptor was a 300 pound woman who complained and failed her law exam 5 times (not sure if she's passed it yet). We were totally like oil and water and I am so glad to be out of the slave shop. So excited that I don't ever have to go back there again!!
Last week I worked at Walgreens in Louisville. I worked the complete week and gave tons of flu shots until we ran out on Thursday. I was pretty excited that we ran out of shots b/c they didn't give us an extra person to give the shots, so I was giving all the immunizations and also trying to fill prescriptions, do drive-thru, wait on the counter, and then figuring out all other problems that arise in a pharmacy. So yes..busy busy week, but I will absolutely get a great paycheck.
Speaking of paychecks, I am glad to announce that today is Adam's 5th day of training at Walgreens. He is now a staff pharmacist for Walgreens floating in the Lexington district. He will cover the store pharmacists off days twice a week in Bardstown, Kentucky and he will work his every 3rd weekend there. And then he will pick up enough hours for 40 hours a week at the rest of the stores in the Lexington district. He is very excited and is now training for 10 days at the Leestown Rd store right down the road from me. But we're excited and after his 4th day of training on Friday he is feeling more and more comfortable at Walgreens and has been left as the only pharmacist on duty for a couple of hours. But I am SO proud of him. It's weird to think that my boyfriend is actually a pharmacist...EEEE!

Officially halfway done!! And Florida!
So I am now officially halfway through rotations. My last day, Heather and I showed up to work to find out that both our preceptor and tech were out with the flu. So the main pharmacist didn't want us to stay. So we took a tour of the Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital before we called it a day. It is such a neat experience. Rood and Riddle is one of the top 2 equine hospitals in the world (with the other one also being in Lexington). We walked in and saw a horse having surgery on its leg by the vet that was the spokesperson for the doctors when Eight Bells went down in the Derby a couple of years ago. We also saw horses getting MRIs and shoes on. It is so freaking neat. Glad that I finally got to see a live horse during this rotation. Oh yeah...and I also shook the hands of Drs. Rood and Riddle.
So Adam came into town with me yesterday so Dad could fix the starter on the Lego. Well, Dad couldn't fix the starter on the Lego b/c it is in a really difficult place to get off the car (the Lego is a 5-speed Nissan Sentra for those of you who aren't familiar with the Lego:)), and Dad didn't get off of work until 8. So at least Adam got to see some of the famous Bowling Green sites like Chaney's, Jackson's Orchard (which he already loved before this trip), Gander Mountain, and the wooden bridge in Richardsville. Luckily, he found a guy that would fix his starter for relatively cheap in Lexington...so no more pushing the Lego to get the engine to start..yay!
Adam bought me this really nice Columbia water-resistant jacket today at Gander Mountain. It was half off but still relatively expensive, but I love it!! I wore it around all day even though it really wasn't cold enough to warrant a jacket. I did take it off to go to the hair dresser b/c I didn't want to get hair dye on it. I dyed my hair back to the dark color that I usually go to in the winter that matches my Mom's natural color. And I'm so glad I got it cut b/c it has been driving me crazy...
Leaving for Florida around 5 AM. Pretty pumped and hoping that it doesn't rain all week. Going to start reading the Twilight series...hope I don't regret it. I have the first two. So better get off of here so I can wake up at 4 AM!!
