So most of my stuff is moved..well I guess you could say I am completely out of my old apartment. We couldn't get a trailer to move to Louisville, so everything that we could pile in Erik's truck and my Murano went. Even though a lot of it ended up in the basement. My new house is extremely nice! I feel like I don't belong there. Adam and Erik took my big stuff up the stairs for me. Everything else is in the HUGE unfinished basement. I love it. I also love Diesel. He is Jan's black lab. He is so sweet. I can't wait to hang out with him:) I came to Bowling Green last night to help Mom get ready for the pig roast today. I think since most everything is done for it, that she is finally starting to relax and actually look forward to it. I'm not sure who all is going to come out. It was kind of a bad weekend to have it, since most people are out of town on Memorial Day and there are also high school graduations. But at least my family is going to make it, Adam, Erik, Abby, and Doug. I also picked a bad weekend since Kim and Josh's wedding is Sunday and a lot of my good friends are in the wedding party. Oops..oh well:) More beer for me..haha.
I've had my Murano for 2 weeks now, and I absolutely LOVE IT. It has the CVT transmission where it doesn't actually shift gears. It drives so smooth. I love my dual moonroof and all the XM/CD player, etc. I can't believe I actually own it. And gas hasn't really hurt the pocketbook as much as I thought it was going to either. Plus it's Pearl white and shiny.
Now that I'm officially in Louisville, I can't wait to go to the new malls and try out different restaurants..and go to the P Fresh Target. I am so fortunate to have this life:)

Happy Birthday to Me!!
So I got the best birthday present today...I found out that I passed the MPJE! I thought that I had failed the test when I left because it was so difficult. But I wasn't even close to failing..so Yay! I can't believe that I am 26 years old now. I feel so old. Oh well. But I have accomplished everything I wanted to at this age. I am officially a doctor..and now halfway to being a registered pharmacist. Once I move and get settled in, I'll have to start studying for the NAPLEX. I can't wait until dinner tonight. Ten of my closest friends will be coming to dinner tonight at a Mexican restaurant in Lexington. I'm just sad that Adam has to work tonight and my parents are going to be able to be here on my birthday. And I'm kind of sad that it's the first year I won't be able to have a birthday cake:( But it has been a great day so far. And I can't wait to continue celebrating on Saturday. The pig roast is going to be so fun..and there is going to be enough food there to feed an army. Mom has really outdone herself. Adam went last night and got these really nice tents to set up so people will be protected from the sun (hopefully...and not rain):)

The Move
I absolutely despise packing...probably why I am just sitting here typing this journal entry instead of loading boxes. I am getting a little sad about moving away from all of my friends. So I have several pros to outweigh the cons of moving. Pros: moving away from a construction zone, starting my career, moving into a house, hanging out with all of my Louisville friends, being close to some old friends from Bowling Green, having a whole new city to frolic in! Cons: moving away from Adam:(, moving away from my Lexington friends, and having to pack. I think that everything will be great. When I mention to Adam about being long distance, he just laughs b/c he says it's only 45 minutes away. But it just stinks that I can't just go hang out with him for an hour and then go home. And I'm really looking forward to August when he will hopefully get a place with his friends!
Tomorrow is my birthday. It could either be really good or really bad. I took my Kentucky law exam on Friday, so I'll find out the results tomorrow. The test was really difficult, so I'm hoping that I passed. So I'm either going to be really happy on my birthday tomorrow..or really sad. I guess we'll see.

Training
So I finally got a phonecall today about training. So I am feeling a little more at ease about starting my career as a Walgreens pharmacist. June 3rd I have an orientation. Then on June 7th I start my week of training at Hikes Lane. Then I will be working every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday until I get licensed so I can study for boards. I am so super excited. I love how my life is changing...even though it seems it is all going to fast.
Tomorrow, Doug, Sarah, Kim, Josh, and I are going to Nashville to see Matt in his new condo. It is going to be so fun. However, it is bittersweet that my friends are all moving away from each other:( Good thing that I have the strongest relationships with those people from pharmacy school so I know they'll be friends for life!

So I was reading an article on USA Today about a group of medical students who had a free health fair and didn't change the needle on their blood glucose monitors. Seriously? How could they not know they needed to do that? Those meters are available over the counter for the general public to use. I can't believe that med students didn't know they needed to change the needle after every person. So now they are trying to find the 50 or so people they tested to screen them for HIV, Hepatitis, and other blood borne disease. Can't believe it.
Also, I've been watching 16 and Pregnant on MTV (it's a guily pleasure):) These people's parents kill me. I understand about the parents being supportive when they find out that their daughter is pregnant. But them letting their daughters' boyfriends move in, thinking it's cool, being their daughters' best friends kill me. My parents would have been really disappointed and upset. I don't doubt that they would have been there for me, but they would not ever want to see the guy that got me pregnant...let alone sleep in my bed. Adam and I don't even sleep in the same bed at my parents house when I visit home, and they know he stays over all the time in Lexington. I just don't understand the world today. Ack!
Anyway, on a less judgmental note:) I am taking my MPJE on Friday...so I will be studying today. A week from tomorrow is my birthday. My parents are coming up Sunday, and I plan on celebrating with Adam on Monday. Then Tuesday Im going out with my friends. Then I move a week from Thursday. Ahhh. Everything is moving WAY too fast!

I figured I'd upload some pictures of graduation. There really weren't that many taken, so here are a few of the family ones taken after the ceremony. I have 2 more weeks of being lazy until I start work...and I'm getting more and more nervous. Ack! On another note, I really love my car. I still feel like it's a rental and that I can't keep it. It is 3 times as expensive as my Grand Am. It is so super nice, and I love driving it everywhere. So yay. I'm really glad that I invested in it, and I can't wait to show my parents:)

New Car
So yesterday, I became the new owner of a new 2010 Nissan Murano!! I absolutely LOVE it. The buying process is really stressful because I hate car salesman..but luckily Adam went with me and didn't let them get the best of me. Also, I have Tiffany at Carmax who let me know if I was getting a good deal or not. I swore I would never, ever buy a new car, but I couldn't really pass it up with the 0.9% interest and the deal I got. I'm scared to drive it anywhere though..haha. But it has XM radio, 6 disc changer, leather, heated seats...pretty much fully loaded without navigation.
So now I definitely need to start working so I can pay for my car. Haha. I signed up to take my Kentucky Pharmacy Law exam a week from today. I think I will be ready for that. I am taking my NAPLEX on June 18th, and I can't be licensed until I take both. But I start working June 3rd as a grad intern. Can't wait.
So Dad ended up going to the ER last night. He was making Brad and Kristal a pantry and ended up somehow putting a nail through his finger with a nail gun. Luckily, it didn't go through his bone. They thought that it may have at first and it would have been a possible surgery. But they ended up pulling it out and just giving him antibiotics. But he's in a lot of pain. Poor Daddy:(

Dr. Page
Yay! I finally graduated! Last night was great. My parents, brother and sister-in-law, Granny, Grandma/Grandpa, Martha and Steve, and Adam all attended. And our graduation didn't last as long as Adam's last year:) So I am now officially Dr. Brandy Nicole Page, PharmD. How crazy! I love this. It still hasn't sunk in since I don't officially start working until June. We did get to eat at Joe B's last night. And then after graduation, I came home and crashed.
Today I am going to Louisville for one of my best friend's graduation parties. He also graduated from Pharmacy School with me. After his party I am headed home to Bowling Green for Mother's Day! I love my life:)

Cinco de Mayo
Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I am being lame and sat at home most of the night and did laundry so that my apartment will be clean when my parents come up for graduation on Friday. I actually went out and had some Mexican food and one Dos Equis but that was the end of my party:) Adam's parents are taking me to Mellow Mushroom (one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington) tomorrow night for a graduation celebration dinner. I thought that was so sweet. My family is coming up before graduation on Friday, and I'm hoping that we can all get into Joe Bolognas. They don't take reservations, but I'm hoping that won't be a problem if we get there at 4. My last rotation at Central Baptist went really well. I presented the results of my medication use evaluation to the medication safety committee (sp?) and Herb loved it. He also really liked my journal club. I ended up getting an A...so I will be graduating Pharmacy school with honors (cum laude)! I am so excited. I didn't even graduate with that much of a GPA at WKU! I haven't really done anything since rotations have ended, but I still don't feel like it's all over. Maybe it will sink in after graduation or maybe after I start my job.
Last weekend was Derby weekend. It was by far my favorite Derby of the three that I have attended. It wasn't that rainy, but it was a little muddy. I love Adam's family that comes in. I love Adam's cousin, Sara, so much...and her friend Mary Kate that I'm going to visit them in Baltimore to go to Preakness! Yay! Adam has to work and doesn't want to have to fly up there, so Doug and I are going to drive. Mom doesn't understand that you can have guy friends and a boyfriend, so it's been really hard explaining to her why it's not weird for me and Doug to be driving to Baltimore together...but I guess you can't win them all:)
I GRADUATE ON FRIDAY!!!! I still can't believe it!
